About the Bond

Holds the Line on New Taxes
Measure 3-613 is an accountable and affordable measure. It renews the tax rate you pay today to support our local community college. No new taxes.

Provides Workforce Training in High Demand Fields
This bond is designed to meet a demand for wildland firefighters, horticulturalists, electricians, lineworkers, programmers and other skilled vocational workers. It will also improve access to STEM opportunities.

Repairs Aging Buildings, Creates Safer Campuses
While well maintained, CCC buildings are aging and need repairs. This bond will allow CCC to make critical updates including addressing accessibility for people with disabilities and upgrading boilers and HVAC systems. With these improvements, our community’s college will educate future generations for decades to come. Safety and security will be improved on our three campuses through increased cameras and interior door access controls.

Modernizes Learning Spaces
Bond funds will renovate and modernize learning spaces in older buildings to meet today's hybrid and distant-learning needs. Rural and urban users across Clackamas County will be served.

Constructs a Natural Resources Center of Excellence
Natural resources are a rich part of the economy, culture and history of Clackamas County. This bond would fund the construction of a center of excellence for horticulture, farming and wildland fire prevention--fields that are in high demand by local employers.

Builds Community Partnerships
Expansion of workforce partnership space on the Wilsonville campus will enhance current career and technical education programs and strengthen connections between education and industry.
100% of bond funds stay right here in Clackamas County
An unique opportunity for state funds
The CCC bond will also unlock a matching grant from the State of Oregon for $16 million and make the college eligible for future grants and partnerships.
Independent Citizen Oversight
A citizen oversight committee will ensure that all bond funds are used for the purposes approved by voters.

Costs
Measure 3-613 would renew the existing tax rate.
The 2024 tax rate for property owners in the Clackamas Community College District was $0.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value. If passed, this Measure authorizes the college to sell bonds that would fund the projects outlined in this guide. These new bonds are estimated to maintain the 2024 tax rate of $0.25 per $1,000 of assessed value which translates to $7.22 per month or $86.59 per year for the average homeowner in the district.
